Citizens play a vital role supporting Florida's state parks ensuring that our
natural, cultural and historical resources are protected for future
generations. An opportunity for citizens to join forces exists through the
development of a Citizen Support Organization (CSO. There are currently more
than
80 friends groups supporting state parks
throughout Florida. These groups provide support by volunteering, educating
visitors, hosting events and raising funds for specific park projects.. |
 The Friends of
Anclote Key State Park "CSO" is a volunteer organization that supports
Anclote Key State Park.The "CSO" Citizens Support Organization is designated by the State of Florida and the Department of Environmental Protection and through volunteer efforts we provide support for Anclote Key Preserve & State Park. |

Camping On Anclote Key |
Our resident house on the left is an
ongoing task. We provide volunteer projects, services, and general assistance to our Island Ranger. We cultivate greater public understanding of the nature and the social and cultural history of Anclote Key. We promote interpretive programs, special events, and public awareness of the ecological importance of the Island. We also provide fundraising for various projects needed on the Island.
