Don't let a catastrophe happen to you!

"BE PREPARED"
Just a few
things to remember when camping on the
Island so your camping experience goes well. |
- *Know your tides and have a
tide forecast with you
*Get the local weather
forecast for the days you are on the Island including the winds
*Bring plenty of repellant for
the no-seeums & mosquitoes
. Avon's Skin So Soft
works well for the no-seeums for most people.
*Have 2 good size Anchors to
secure your boat
*Have a Cell Phone with you
and make sure the Ranger on the Island has your emergency
contact information
*Most important thing
is....Belong to your local tow service. "Boat US" Tow
Service & "Sea Tow" are the local services that run around here.
Have a contingency plan. "What do I do if my boat breaks down?"
*Do not place your tents
within or under dead Australian Pine trees. Strong winds could
break limbs loose or topple trees.
